A Day in the Life of an HVAC Professional

2025-01-08 By Parker Ibarra

Early Morning Preparation

The day begins well before sunrise as I stock my service van with essential parts and tools. Working at Ferran Services means being prepared for any air conditioning challenge that comes our way. The morning checklist includes everything from multimeters to refrigerant gauges.

First Call of the Day

By 7:30 AM, I’m headed to our first appointment. Central Florida’s climate means AC systems work overtime, and today’s schedule is packed with preventive maintenance calls and emergency repairs. Each home presents its unique challenge, requiring both technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Customer Education

One of the most rewarding parts of my job includes:
– Teaching homeowners about proper system maintenance
– Explaining energy efficiency tips
– Demonstrating filter replacement techniques
– Sharing preventive maintenance insights

Afternoon Challenges

After lunch, emergency calls often come in. Florida’s heat doesn’t take breaks, and neither do we. Whether it’s a simple repair or a complex diagnostic issue, providing comfort to our customers remains our top priority.

End of Day

Before heading home, I ensure all paperwork is complete, the van is restocked, and tomorrow’s route is planned. Working in AC repair means staying organized and ready for whatever the next day brings.

Being part of the HVAC industry requires dedication, continuous learning, and a commitment to customer service. Each day brings new opportunities to help people maintain comfortable, efficient homes.
